The skill
Faster whisper is a skill for local speech-to-text with faster-whisper: transcripts, SRT and VTT subtitles, speaker diarization, YouTube and podcast feed input, batch runs, transcript search and chapter detection.
Only when you ask.
The habit
New episodes transcribed on their own.
↻ Runs by itselfdaily feed check
When does it start? How does it check its work? What does it remember?
Stops after the five newest episodes per run, with two retries each.
Run ./setup.sh --check for GPU, Python, ffmpeg and yt-dlp.
Run ./scripts/transcribe with --rss, the feed URL and -o ./transcripts/.
Add --skip-existing so only new episodes run.
Add --retries 2 for flaky network files.
Add --diarize or --format srt only when the user asked for them.
Write the batch summary into the run log.
It writes only in its own folder and asks you before anything goes out.
Read both lists. If the left one sounds like you, the Faster Whisper skill helps.

The skill says to keep the default command and add flags only when asked.
