Scope Triage

The skill
The scope triage skill helps coding agents decide whether a request can go straight to implementation, needs a light spec, or needs a full design with user approval, using a hypothesis and an assumption ledger.
Only when you ask.
The habit
Every request gets a route first.
↻ Runs by itselfnew request arrives
When does it start? How does it check its work? What does it remember?
Stops after one request per run; unattended runs never start Route C.
Write one sentence on the wanted result with an honest confidence.
List assumptions and verify them with one broad search and targeted reads.
Check the conditions for Route A, B and C; any doubt means Route C.
Repeat the target contract in one self-contained sentence with the route.
Route A goes to tdd or debugging; in unattended runs anything else stops with the blocker.
It writes only in its own folder and asks you before anything goes out.
Read both lists. If the left one sounds like you, the Scope Triage skill helps.
No. The skill says file and line counts are not criteria.
With an approved spec and a handoff to plan-crafting, which needs a person.
Copy the prompt at the top into your agent. It installs the skill from sentimony/skills and sets up the habit. Or run npx skills add sentimony/skills --skill scope-triage.
