The skill
The dashfix skill helps teams keep project prose free of typographic dashes in any language, with a write mode, a read-only audit, a single-file check and a commit-msg hook.
Only when you ask.
The habit
Prose uses only the plain hyphen.
↻ Runs by itselfprose files changed
When does it start? How does it check its work? What does it remember?
Stops after the changed files of one pull request; full-repo fixes only after an audit you request.
Run the rg single-file check on each changed prose file.
Mark each hit replace, data or justified.
Replace with a spaced hyphen or the punctuation the relation needs, then run the preservation check.
Run the check again and report how many were found and fixed.
Install scripts/commit-msg if missing, never over a different hook.
It writes only in its own folder and asks you before anything goes out.
Read both lists. If the left one sounds like you, the Dashfix skill helps.
Those are data verdicts; they change only together with the code that reads them.
Yes. Only the spacing of the fix changes by language.
Copy the prompt at the top into your agent. It installs the skill from sentimony/skills and sets up the habit. Or run npx skills add sentimony/skills --skill dashfix.
