The skill
The waba template author skill writes, classifies, validates and repairs WhatsApp templates as Sent v3 template requests, with variables, buttons, authentication settings and a linter.
Only when you ask.
The habit
WhatsApp templates pass review first time.

When does it start? How does it check its work? What does it remember?
One template per run, at most 2 lint-and-fix retries.
Collect the business event and language, then choose UTILITY, MARKETING or AUTHENTICATION.
Write the POST /v3/templates body with definition, category, language and sandbox true.
Give each placeholder a unique id, a name, a matching type and a realistic sample.
Add only supported button types within the total and per-type limits.
Run python scripts/lint_waba_template.py template.json and fix every error it reports.
Show you the final payload and explain that submit_for_review changes external state.
Store the raw payload.status from template webhooks and log the result.
It writes only in its own folder and asks you before anything goes out.
Read both lists. If the left one sounds like you, the WABA Template Author skill helps.
No. Sent's request is not the components[] shape, and the linter fails such payloads with a conversion error.
The skill says to classify it as MARKETING or split it into two templates.
No. It drafts in sandbox and waits for your OK before review.
Copy the prompt at the top into your agent. It installs the skill from sentdm/sent-plugin and sets up the habit. Or run npx skills add sentdm/sent-plugin --skill waba-template-author.
