Share Field Notes

The skill
Share field notes is a skill for modding agents that searches a shared knowledge base before work and, at the end, writes a field note with versions, route, engine facts and gotchas, then opens a PR with the human's OK.
Only when you ask.
The habit
Every modding session leaves a note.
↻ Runs by itselfmodding session ends
When does it start? How does it check its work? What does it remember?
Stops after one note per session, with one fix round.
Run um kb search for the game and engine before starting.
Log versions, paths, IDs, failures and checks in MODLOG.md.
Run um kb new and fill setup, engine facts, verification and numbered gotchas.
Add to an existing note for the same game instead of writing a new one.
Run um kb check and um kb index.
Show the human the note, run um kb pr as a dry run, then --yes on approval.
It writes only in its own folder and asks you before anything goes out.
Read both lists. If the left one sounds like you, the Share Field Notes skill helps.
Yes. The skill welcomes in-progress and abandoned notes.
No. Never game files, decompiled dumps or anti-cheat bypasses.
Copy the prompt at the top into your agent. It installs the skill from rehan-remade/universal-modder and sets up the habit. Or run npx skills add rehan-remade/universal-modder --skill share-field-notes.
