The skill
The prisma cli skill is a reference for the Prisma ORM 7 command line: init, generate, migrate, db, dev, studio and mcp, with a consent checkpoint before destructive commands.
Only when you ask.
The habit
Schema valid, migrations in sync.
↻ Runs by itselfschema file changed
When does it start? How does it check its work? What does it remember?
Stops after one schema change per run; no destructive command without fresh consent.
The agent uses the project's version-matched prisma command, never a floating latest install.
It runs prisma validate and prisma format and checks for a diff.
It runs prisma migrate status, and prisma migrate dev --create-only when a new migration is needed.
It runs prisma generate so the client matches the schema.
For migrate reset or db push --force-reset it reads references/agent-safety.md, explains the data loss and asks you first.
It writes the status and results into the run log.
It writes only in its own folder and asks you before anything goes out.
Read both lists. If the left one sounds like you, the Prisma CLI skill helps.
Not on its own. Prisma blocks destructive commands from agents until you give explicit consent, and the loop asks each time.
No. This skill covers Prisma ORM 7. For Prisma 8 or setup, the skill points to prisma-orm-setup.
Yes. Add the --bun flag, for example bunx --bun prisma generate.
Copy the prompt at the top into your agent. It installs the skill from prisma/skills and sets up the habit. Or run npx skills add prisma/skills --skill prisma-cli.
