Create PRD
by phuryn · 11K installs
The skill
The create prd skill writes a lean product requirements document with eight sections, including segments and a six-part value proposition, for product managers and founders who need a team aligned fast.
Only when you ask.
The habit
Every feature idea gets a PRD.
↻ Runs by itselfnew feature idea filed
When does it start? How does it check its work? What does it remember?
Stops after one PRD per run, or when the user has not answered the questions.
Read the idea and any files the user attached to it.
If the problem, the users or the success metric is missing, ask up to three short questions and wait for answers.
Search the web for market, competitors or rules, and cite a source next to each claim that changes a decision.
Write summary, contacts, background, objective, segments, value propositions, solution and release, short by default.
Put anything not known under assumptions and open questions instead of stating it as fact.
Save PRD-[product-name].md and tell the user in one line which parts were skipped on purpose.
Run the section checks and add the PRD with its open questions to the run log.
It writes only in its own folder and asks you before anything goes out.
Read both lists. If the left one sounds like you, the Create PRD skill helps.
About one to two pages by default; a longer version is written only when you ask for it.
The skill writes the PRD only after you say go ahead, and then marks the gaps as assumptions.
Yes. It checks the same standard and returns the gaps first, then what could be cut.
Copy the prompt at the top into your agent. It installs the skill from phuryn/pm-skills and sets up the habit. Or run npx skills add phuryn/pm-skills --skill create-prd.
Yes. It is published under MIT. Habit is free too.
