Layer Art Direction

The skill
The layer art direction skill sets a direction before volume generation on Layer: production-term style names, single-axis moodboards, palettes, framing and storyboards.
Only when you ask.
The habit
An agreed look before volume generation.
↻ Runs by itselfnew brief arrives
When does it start? How does it check its work? What does it remember?
Stops after one direction is approved, with at most one more moodboard.
Your agent turns vague style words into production terms and reads them back to you.
It sets a named colour count and relationship, with value contrast for readability.
It runs one moodboard with the same subject and palette, varying one axis.
It asks you which direction to pursue.
For a trailer it writes the beats as a list and makes panels that each advance the story.
It attaches the chosen image as reference_image to every later run.
It writes only in its own folder and asks you before anything goes out.
Read both lists. If the left one sounds like you, the Layer Art Direction skill helps.
If style, subject and palette all change, you cannot tell which change you liked.
One image for a quick read of six or fewer beats; separate images when panels will become video shots.
Copy the prompt at the top into your agent. It installs the skill from layerai/skills and sets up the habit. Or run npx skills add layerai/skills --skill layer-art-direction.
