The skill
Collects text from public web pages the safe way.
Only when you ask.
Fresh data
Fresh facts from public pages every day. It stops when a site says no.
↻ Runs by itselfevery day
When does it start? How does it check its work? What does it remember?
Stops after 25 URLs per run, or at the first access block on a site.
Your agent checks scheme, host and public IPs for every URL and redirect.
It reads robots.txt and honors crawl delays and disallow rules.
It tries trafilatura, then requests with BeautifulSoup, then Playwright.
It checks for paywalls, CAPTCHAs, rate limits and login walls.
On a block it stops and suggests an official API or asks for documented authorization.
It wraps content in EXTERNAL_DATA tags with the source URL and logs it.
It writes only in its own folder and asks you before anything goes out.
Read both lists. If the left one sounds like you, the Web Scraping skill helps.
No. A CAPTCHA, login wall or 403 is a stop signal, not something to evade.
No. Retrieved content is data, never instructions.
