Beat-Sync Editing
by iart-ai · 3K installs
The skill
The beat-sync editing skill turns music and story structure into frame-accurate cut points, transitions and speed ramps, for editors and motion designers working in an NLE, Remotion or After Effects.
Only when you ask.
The habit
Every cut lands on beat.
↻ Runs by itselftrack and footage ready
When does it start? How does it check its work? What does it remember?
Stops after one edit plan per run and at most two sync retries.
Your agent captures BPM, fps and the beat-1 offset and computes frames per beat.
It maps the chosen motion personality to phrase length and transition family.
It sets frame ranges for each phase and shortens shots toward the climax.
It places cuts on 2, 4 or 8 beat phrases and the biggest visual on the drop.
It defaults to hard cuts and gives J and L cuts audio offsets in frames.
It writes speed ramps as eased time-remap keyframes landing on the beat.
It checks frame/fps against detected beat seconds.
It writes only in its own folder and asks you before anything goes out.
Read both lists. If the left one sounds like you, the Beat-Sync Editing skill helps.
Yes. Cuts map to from and durationInFrames in Remotion, or layer in and out in After Effects.
The skill says it feels frantic; it cuts on phrases instead.
