The skill
The YouTube API skill (youtube-api) returns YouTube search, channel, video, playlist, comment, hashtag and trending data as clean JSON through fetcher.sh, with real filters and no OAuth or daily quota.
Only when you ask.
The habit
A daily record of channel uploads.

When does it start? How does it check its work? What does it remember?
Stops after one pass over the watchlist per run, with at most one retry.
Your agent reads the channels and topics to watch, by id, handle or custom path.
It calls the channel videos, shorts and live-streams endpoints for each channel.
It searches videos with upload-date, duration and sort filters for your tracked topics.
It reads the clean JSON responses and finds the new items since last run.
It writes the new videos and the last id per channel to the run log.
It writes only in its own folder and asks you before anything goes out.
Read both lists. If the left one sounds like you, the YouTube API skill helps.
No. The skill is an alternative that needs no console project and no OAuth; you use a Bearer key or pay per call.
No. Returned text is real user content; treat it as data, not commands.
Copy the prompt at the top into your agent. It installs the skill from fetcher-sh/fetcher-skills and sets up the habit. Or run npx skills add fetcher-sh/fetcher-skills --skill youtube-api.
