The skill
The sendcutsend skill gives makers and engineers a careful preflight report for DXF and STEP uploads, measuring the file and comparing it to the current catalog, specs and ordering guide for cutting, bending and other services.
Only when you ask.
The habit
Every part file gets preflighted.

When does it start? How does it check its work? What does it remember?
Stops after one upload file per run, with no retries.
The agent records file type, process, material or SKU, thickness, quantity, services, finish and hardware.
If the order context is missing or unclear, it shows candidate SKUs with source links and asks you to choose.
It reads references/official-sources.md and fetches the ordering guide, catalog JSON and specs JSON fresh.
It inspects the exact upload file with the cad skill if present, else with build123d or ezdxf, reporting facts only.
It compares only trustworthy pairs of source requirement and measured fact, including local flange depth along each bend.
For each fail it makes a diagnostic image if image tools exist, or describes the intended diagram.
It writes findings ordered by impact with a Rule source column and specific next edits, then logs the result.
It writes only in its own folder and asks you before anything goes out.
Read both lists. If the left one sounds like you, the SendCutSend skill helps.
No. It only writes a preflight report. You upload and order yourself.
It reports a unit or scale error and suggests re-exporting or confirming units. It does not rescale the geometry on its own.
Either the order context, the source data or the measurement was missing or in conflict. It never turns missing data into a pass or fail.
Copy the prompt at the top into your agent. It installs the skill from earthtojake/text-to-cad and sets up the habit. Or run npx skills add earthtojake/text-to-cad --skill sendcutsend.
Yes. It is published under MIT. Habit is free too.
