Wiki Query

The skill
Wiki Query answers questions from a compiled Obsidian wiki with cited, multi-hop answers, a graph pre-pass and optional semantic search, and it stays read-only.
Only when you ask.
The habit
Cited answers from your own wiki.

When does it start? How does it check its work? What does it remember?
Stops after one question per run; this skill is read-only and never retries into writes.
Your agent resolves the vault path and QMD settings, then reads hot.md and index.md.
It runs graph-query first; a structural answer is reported straight from the graph with no page reads.
It greps frontmatter for title, tag and summary matches to build a small candidate set.
If a QMD collection is set it runs a semantic search, dropping any _raw/ paths.
It reads only the sections or top pages it needs, following at most one wikilink hop.
It answers with cited pages, flags stale or disputed pages, and names gaps.
It appends one query line to log.md and changes nothing else.
It writes only in its own folder and asks you before anything goes out.
Read both lists. If the left one sounds like you, the Wiki Query skill helps.
No. It is read-only. It proposes the change and routes you to wiki-capture or wiki-update instead.
You ask it to argue against a plan; it searches your own notes for evidence against it and leads with that.
Copy the prompt at the top into your agent. It installs the skill from ar9av/obsidian-wiki and sets up the habit. Or run npx skills add ar9av/obsidian-wiki --skill wiki-query.
Yes. It is published under MIT. Habit is free too.
