The skill
Rewrites docs in short, plain English.
Only when you ask.
Clearer docs
Every doc stays easy to read. More people understand your work.
↻ Runs by itselfevery time you change a doc
When does it start? How does it check its work? What does it remember?
Stops after 10 changed files or 2 retries per file.
The run collects the documentation files that the pull request changed.
In CHECK mode the agent opens references/rule-catalog.md and lists each violation with its rule number and a rewrite.
For runbooks, release notes or error messages the agent reads references/use-cases.md first, and Strict mode only applies when you name STE.
The agent rewrites the prose with short active sentences and leaves code, commands and facts as they are.
The agent searches for the banned marks and words and counts the longest sentences, then fixes each hit.
The run writes each file and its remaining hits into the run log.
It writes only in its own folder and asks you before anything goes out.
Read both lists. If the left one sounds like you, the Simple English skill helps.
No. Code, identifiers, commands, flags, file paths and quoted errors stay as they are.
No tool can promise that. Strict mode applies the STE vocabulary, and the skill says so once.
The skill says no, because its rules remove persuasion. Use it for docs and instructions.
Copy the prompt at the top into your agent. It installs the skill from aminblg/simpleenglish and sets up the habit. Or run npx skills add aminblg/simpleenglish --skill simple-english.
